"You may not always know the plays we bring you -- but you'll know the stories and you'll know the people."

Check us out in last week's Southern Maryland Weekend

"a truly excellent and entertaining production of this comedy-drama about two Little League baseball coaches"
-- Stephen McKnight, DC Theatre Scene

"Jiggetts gives an outstanding performance as Don. It is rare to see an actor so fully inhabit a role with that much intensity. Donohue also does fine work. He makes good choices in portraying Michael as an affable and well-meaning newbie to the baseball world. He is especially funny in the scenes of comic discomfort."
-- Stephen McKnight, DC Theatre Scene

"a somewhat tragically comic play with dark hues and palpable threads of existential dread ... has found more than a worthy home within the confines of the Black Box Theatre"
-- Dickson Mercer, Southern Maryland Weekend

The ballfield becomes a battlefield in Richard Dresser's hilarious comedy as two mismatched little league coaches lead their team of aspiring big leaguers from their first tentative meeting of the spring to the climactic championship game.

Exhilarating victories, heartbreaking defeats, and interminable rain-outs challenge the tough, blue-collar, win-at-all-costs veteran and the newcomer, both to the town and to baseball, as they battle over how best to lead the team.
